Celebrated and award-winning nail guru Leighton Denny is privileged to have his flagship salon within the Urban Retreat, Harrods, and is delighted to have been invited to become one of the British Beauty Experts, thereby providing his expertise and guidance for the creation of the Urban Retreat Hand and Nail line. Leighton recommended that the line should focus on three essential nail treatments, together with key polish colours. The result is a range of seven versatile products that create beautiful hand and nails to suit every mood.

Leighton Denny has taken nail grooming to new heights thanks to his passion and natural talent for creating beautiful, healthy, natural nails. Leighton’s nails have been hailed as the ultimate accessory and he boasts an A-list celebrity client list including the likes of Jade Jagger, Dita Von Teese and Geri Halliwell.

Leighton began his professional life as a fork lift truck driver, then following a trip to the USA with his mother and discovering nail extensions he returned to Bradford to train in an entirely new career. After his training in the UK and the USA, Leighton took to the road as a freelance nail technician, pampering guests on cruise liners around the world before opening his first boutique salon in Bradford, Yorkshire.

He soon moved to the ‘bright lights’ of London and opened his own first bespoke salon in the North, soon transferring his team to a premier location in the West End. He then opened the Leighton Denny Nail Studio in Urban Retreat at Harrods and Urban Retreat at Harvey Nichols, Manchester.

In 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003 the Health and Beauty Awards awarded Leighton ‘Nail Technician of the Year’. In 2004 he was made a judge and entered the Beauty Hall of Fame. .
