Vicki Ullah’s fascination with wigs began in 1993 when she joined Top Shop to manage their Trendco wig concession. She was snapped up by the wig company’s HQ in no time and began managing their flag ship store and training staff. Her skills quickly became in demand for photographic, show work, film and stage. She has used wigs to transform many actors and actresses for film or television roles and has also fitted celebrities with wigs for red carpet appearances.

“I love sourcing the perfect wig for a client and discovering that moment of transformation. Whether it’s for a fashion shoot, the theatre or a private client suffering from hair loss I can always anticipate that moment when the colour, shape and style of a wig is exactly right,” explains Vicki.

Vicki takes time to understand her client’s needs and select the best possible look for them. Clients might come seeking a new look for an upcoming event or longer term solution for medical hair loss. Whatever the reason, each one is afforded empathy, understanding and a very gentle touch. Vicki has significant experience with hair loss sufferers and works closely with the NHS. Her styling, wig choices and professional approach are admired from diverse sources including Macmillan Nurses, session hairdresser Guido and celebrities such as Tamara Beckwith and Sharon Osbourne.

Vicki opened the Vicki Ullah Wig Boudoir in Urban Retreat at Harrods, with a private consultation room to offer clients information, expertise and a full wig service. As well as the Wig Boudoir, Urban Retreat has introduced the ‘Vicki Ullah Nurture Card’ for their necessity clients undergoing or recovering from medical treatment. The card entitles clients to a discount on certain Urban Retreat treatments as well as a goody bag and complimentary Crème de la Mer facial.
